It is a powerful modulator metal-to-glass triode designed to amplify low-frequency oscillations in the cathode schemes without currents in the control grid chain.

Operating position is vertical, glass bulb is up.

Forced cooling:

For GM-1A anode - water cooling, not less than 60l/min.; of leg - air cooling, 40 m3/hour;

For GM-1P anode – vapor cooling; of leg – air cooling, 40 m3/hour
